Namespace ownership is one of the core trust layers in the registry. Today it is tied to your GitHub-backed identity through the login flow.

Ownership rules

Your default namespace matches your GitHub username. That is what the API checks at publish time.

  • The CLI login flow binds your registry user to GitHub.
  • Publishing to someone else’s namespace is rejected.
  • Org-controlled namespaces like @axint are restricted to configured admins.
